Enter now to find out all about runes, using runes for divination
and magic, making runes, and retrospectives on rune amulets and charms, bindrunes, rune sets and other fine handcrafted
rune products of the past.
The Runemaker website features rune history, interpretations and associations for all the runes
used in the modern set, descriptions and photographs of the famous rune wares
that were once handcrafted in England by Oswald the Runemaker. I am getting on in years now and no longer make rune products.
But if you have the skill and the inclination, I
encourage you to use the data and images on the site to make similar items yourself.
You can read the history of the Elder, Norse or Viking runes and the Anglo-Saxon runes
(the Futhark or Futhorc) from early origins, through the migration to Britain in the Dark Ages when occult practices were at their peak,
to mediaeval and modern use in communication, magic and divination. You can learn the rune meanings, discover the crystals, herbs, flowers,
trees and elements, astrological signs and Tarot cards associated with each rune. You can find out about bindrune amulets, runic talismans, divining with casting runes and dowsing with a runic pendulum.
So, welcome to the world of the ancient runes. Enjoy your visit and learn something of the
history and culture of the ancient rune users. Wonder at the magic power of the old runemasters and runemistresses,
and check out my range of eBooks, downloadable products, artwork and
transcription services.
