water, a vital part of life, but a constant danger, just as our
journey through life encounters risks. Laguz contains elements

the sensual madness of sexuality, the unconscious, intuitive,

variety, rather than from any menace. Traditionally, Laguz is
the ultimate female rune.

I have seen Laguz linked with Temperance, and The High
Priestess, but I feel its strongest connection, by far,
is with The Moon.
When I read about Laguz, I might as
well be reading a description of the Moon card. It is
truly a perfect and profound fit. It is probably the
best rune/tarot fit in the entire Futhark.

The Rune Poem: Verse XXI Laguz
Water seems interminable to men
If they should venture on a shaky bark;
And the sea-surges greatly frighten them,
And the sea-steed takes no heed of the curb.
